Our third and fourth grade classes travelled to Aseera Village to study the olive and its role in the culture and economy of Palestine. Our first stop was a processing plant where we saw the lessons we had learned put into practice. We moved on to an olive orchard where the students enthusiastically participated in the picking process. This Palestinian harvest tradition is strongly embraced by PBS.Many of the students went on last years trip and the people of Aseera Village are eagerly anticipating our return next year.
