Pioneers Curriculum
Palestinian Curriculum
English
English will focus on the development of the four main skills- reading, writing, speaking and listening. The classes will incorporate a project thematic unit which will run for six weeks. The students will be studying a concept while immersed into the English language, where vocabulary, grammatical structures and communicative functions are incorporated naturally and seamlessly. Our goal is to use authentic pieces with teacher created materials as the primary curricula. The PYP curriculum is a framework of investigation of six successive themes that represent six universal questions, with a unit of inquiry being studied within each of these themes. In all situations, the premise of the educational process is that learners construct meaning; consequently, children are encouraged to formulate their own questions, study what they have set out to learn, and become independent and responsible toward their own learning, in which they are actively involved and teacher becomes a facilitator to learning rather than the person with all of the answers.
Science
The primary goal of our English language science program is to foster an interest in science.Children will learn about subjects like agriculture, the animal kingdom, weather, measuring, natural disasters, the senses, and other science topics.Throughout the second semester we will be doing projects designed to enhance the lessons we are teaching.
Math
Future Kids
A solid understanding of, and an ability to use, computers is probably the most important skill, other than reading, that students need to learn to succeed in the modern world. Pioneers is aggressively training our students in the use of technology and computers. Our primary tool for teaching computer literacy is the Future Kids program. Internationally acclaimed, and widely used throughout the world, Future Kids helps our students have fun while they are learning how to use computers.
Future Kids is a comprehensive program that works with children as they grow and learn. Activities like building a technology robot, and solving computer mysteries, stimulate the imagination as they instruct. Future Kids Website
