Committees

On Saturday February 10, 2008 the school hosted the first meeting of the Pioneers Parent Association. The purpose of the meeting was to establish committees which will support many of the school's efforts.

The committees formed were:

Builder's Committee

Tasks: To establish and organize the other committees. This community will ensure volunteers are located and assigned to each committee. This committee will lead the Parent Association and will report directly to the school administration regarding the needs and progress.

Fundraising Committee

Tasks: To help the school raise funds for classroom equipment, supplies, books, resources, and other needs. The committee will help the school form "wish lists" of items which require funding. This committee will be responsible for arranging bake sales, special events, school picnics, family field trips, teacher appreciation lunches, family fun nights, and other events.

School Uniform Committee

Tasks: To assist the school in locating and ordering next year's school uniform. This includes gathering price quotes from various vendors and choosing the best quality uniform for our children. This committee will also be responsible for taking orders, selling, and distributing the uniform to parents.

Support for International Teachers

Tasks: To support and assist international teachers in living a comfortable life in Nablus. This includes showing them around the city, getting them involved in community events, and arranging for a weekly dinner at one of the parents homes.

Classroom Coordinators

Tasks: The primary responsibilities of the Room Coordinators are to organize various class parties, assist teacher in organizing field trips, assist teachers with special projects, organize academic contests, and contact parents to assist with special classroom activities.
