Orphanage trip

The fifth grade B class took a trip a home for elderly women and disabled teens on Thursday the 8th of October with Miss Maggie, Miss Kaitlin, and Mr. Jared. They brought household supplies to donate as gifts, which was much appreciated. At first they greeted and spent time the older women telling them stories and listening to the stories these women had to share. While the majority of the students were doing this small groups of students took a tour around the home visiting the women who were not well enough to go outside with the others. After everyone had a chance to do tour, the entire group went upstairs to play with the children there. The students enjoyed playing with these children so much that they didn’t want to go home. Everyone agreed that this is a place they would like to come back to. The teachers were pleased and impressed by the students’ behavior and conscientiousness shown.
